Services for Individuals with Disabilities
Persons with physical (hearing, motor, visual, speech) or intellectual disabilities or those with Pervasive Development Disorders (PDD) can receive services by contacting the CSSS Care, Assessment and Counselling services. Relatives, close friends, or caregivers can also receive assistance or services.
A team (including the case manager) will assess, support, advise, and encourage maximum adaptation and use of the individual's capabilities in his living environment. To this end, the team can also refer the individual to other appropriate resources.
Developing the full potential of individuals afflicted with one or more disabilities often involves close collaboration with specialized resources.
