Management Philosophy

Optimum and Humane Management

As the mission, vision, and values of the CSSSTK are in a state of constant change, we are committed to optimum and humane management by placing patients at the centre of our decisions and adopting and promoting our management principles.

CSSSTK Management Principles:

  • Because we trust in our staff, we believe in the importance of making its members accountable for making decisions that are as close as possible to the action, relying on the ability of the staff (individually or as a team) to plan and organize their work, make decisions in relation to their work, resolve problems, and come up with innovative ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Because it is essential that everyone contribute to the goals of the organization, we intend to support our staff members by offering them, within the limits of available resources, adequate means to meet the expectations that have been clearly spelled out.
  • Because we believe in the importance of efficient communication, we will make a concentrated effort to listen so that we can understand what the speaker is saying, express ourselves so that we are understood, and use decision-making processes that have been clearly explained.
  • Because we believe in the importance of a positive attitude when faced with adversity, whether in relation to problems or changes, we will make a concentrated effort to be open and respectful, seek to understand as well as be understood, and to give constructive criticism.
  • Because we believe in the benefits of group effort and the pooling of expertise, we shall foster teamwork in all its forms, both internally and externally.
  • Because we believe in the importance of recognizing the vital contribution that members of the staff make to our organization, we intend to show our gratitude through simple and regular shows of appreciation and shall seek to emphasize the good points.
  • Because we believe in the importance of fostering the development of staff skills, we will support innovative approaches tailored to the local nature of our organization, as well as improved work practices and collaborative relationships, particularly through continuous training adapted to our needs.
  • Because we believe in the importance of practicing ethical management, we will respect the principles of justice, fairness, and social and environmental responsibility.
These management principles are an integrated set of complementary policy instruments which the CSSSTK intends to implement to update its mission, vision, and values, thereby ensuring a harmonious internal work environment and good relations with its partners and the general public.
