The institution shall set up an In-Patient Committee for users residing in an assisted-living facility.
An In-Patient Committee shall be composed of at least three (3) members elected by users placed in a long-term care facility by the institution.
Users residing in an assisted-living facility must make up the majority of In-Patient Committee members. If such a majority is not possible, they may elect another person of their choice to serve on the Committee, provided that such persons do not work for the institution or practice their profession in a centre operated by the institution.
Individuals who are under curatorship may not serve as members of the In-Patient Committee.
The In-Patient Committee shall perform its functions in our institution. Its role is to listen to the needs of the in-patients, users of the day centres, families, and loved ones so that their rights are better defended. With a view to ensuring fair representation and to properly perform the functions of such a Committee, a local In-Patient Committee has been set up at the assisted-living facility.
The In-Patient Committee must submit an Annual Activity Report to the Users Committee no later than April 30th of each year.
